There are a number of airlines like Malaysia Airlines, Merpati, Batavia Air, Lion Airlines/Lion Mentari Air, Air Asia, Garuda Indonesia and Mandala Airlines that serve the international airport of Yogyakarta.
Garuda operates flights to Kuala Lampur and Singapore three times on a weekly basis. The province is also connected to Java, Sulawesi, Kalimantan and Sumatra by flights. Yogyakarta can also be reached by bus. Giwangan is the main bus stop of the region. If travelling by train, tourists can choose between the Agro Class or Economy Class to reach Yogyakarta, located in the Yogyakarta Special Region.
